Acting Intensive for Screen and Stage with Guest TV Director Judith Dine - 3rd & 4th July | 10:00am – 6:00pm
Train in a focused, two-day acting workshop, working on performance in a practical, collaborative environment.
This workshop focuses on truthful performance, emotional connection, and ensemble work with the main focus on the fast-paced demands of TV storytelling.
Across two intensive days, you’ll explore scene work, rehearsal process, ensemble work, developing clarity, precision, and consistency while staying grounded in instinctive, authentic choices.
🎭 The Work
You’ll train alongside a committed group of actors in a structured, supportive setting.
The workshop includes:
Actor training sessions and guided rehearsal work
Scene study with direction and feedback
Practical exploration of screen and stage, designed to challenge and support your development in a beautiful, natural, Spanish countryside environment.
🎬 Guest Director
Judith Dine
Director of Casualty, Coronation Street, Keeping Faith
Judith will deliver guest sessions across the two days, working directly with actors on text, performance, and screen technique.
🧠 Workshop Facilitation
The programme is led and facilitated by James Oates, who has coached hundreds of actors working across television and film.
Members of Take One and Rolling Academy are encouraged to join.
Guest contributions also include actor Billy Hartman (Emmerdale, Highlander).
📍 Venue
Sessions take place at a privately hired finca near Málaga, used exclusively as a workshop and rehearsal space and will provide food during the workshop.
Workshop days run from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Participants may choose to organise informal group dinners independently in the evenings.
Taxi’s included from set pick up points to and from Fuengirola town centre to the retreat venue each morning (x2 taxi journeys)

Workshop fees cover tuition and facilitation only.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own:
accommodation
flights
independently in the local area.
We will provide recommendations for nearby accommodation, flights, but all bookings are made directly with providers.
📄 Cancellation Policy
All workshop bookings are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another actor (subject to approval) by notifying us in writing no later than 7 days before the workshop start date.
In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled, a full refund of the workshop fee will be issued. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, including travel or accommodation.
